OUR TALENT:

Velocipede is Julia Plumb on fiddle and foot percussion and Baron Collins-Hill on mandolin and guitar. This Maine duo is known for their precise playing and ability to grow the intensity of the tunes. A reliable delight.

You can listen to their whole dang album on their website!

Faster than a T-Rex, more cunning than a muskrat, and far more appetizing than your local barbecue joint, Velocipede brings you fiddle tunes like never before. Hailing from Maine and Western Massachusetts, Julia Plumb (fiddle, foot percussion) and Baron Collins-Hill (mandolin, tenor guitar) play fiddle tunes from around the world for contra dances, concert halls, coffee houses, and doughnut factories throughout the country.

Ron Blechner will be our caller for the evening! Not only is Ron a caller, he's a prolific choreographer, often authoring interesting and unique dances.

AND AFTER:

Join us from 10 p.m. 'til close for snacks and drinks just down the street at Local 188 (just West of Longfellow Square). They've created a new tapas menu just for us, and will offer PICD dancers a discount on drinks and grub. Sweet, ain't they? All ages welcome!

DIRECTIONS AND PARKING:

Directions may be found on the State Street Church website.

Parking is free after 6pm on street around the State Street/West End neighborhood. We recommend saving extra time, as it might take a bit to find a spot.
