OUR TALENT:
Steampacket! This trio, made up of Tamora Goltz on fiddle, David Stimson on guitar, piano, banjo, concertina and Glen Loper on mandolin, banjo, and percussion, plays for dances, weddings, and other events in Maine. With soaring fiddle, bright mandolin, and David’s creative drop-D guitar playing, we get a rich, powerful sound that lifts the dancers and pleases listeners of all sorts.
Adina Gordon, Contra Dance Caller, has a header on her website that says, "Being told what to do has never been this much fun!" We're inclined to agree. ;) Check her out yourself.
AND AFTER:
Join us from 10 p.m. 'til close for snacks and drinks just down the street at Local 188 (just West of Longfellow Square). They've created a new tapas menu just for us, and will offer PICD dancers a discount on drinks and grub. Sweet, ain't they? All ages welcome!
DIRECTIONS AND PARKING:
Directions may be found on the State Street Church website.
Parking is free after 6pm on street around the State Street/West End neighborhood. We recommend saving extra time, as it might take a bit to find a spot.
