Music this evening will be provided by Spintuition.  They are Silas Hamilton (Guitar, Piano, Fiddle, Vocals, Feet), Willy Clemetson (Fiddle, Vocals, Feet), and Samuel Foucher (Accordion, Piano, Vocals). Our caller is Will Mentor. 

CELEBRATE 10 YEARS:

In early 2016, Dugan and Dela Murphy (Dela Taylor at the time) founded Portland Intown Contra Dance and started testing out spaces to host weekly contra dances on the Portland peninsula. With David Chase joining the board of directors, they put on the first weekly, Thursday-night contra dance at the State Street Church on June 16, 2016. Weekly dances continued through March 5, 2020, when the coronavirus pandemic forced in-person events to cease. But then they returned on June 26, 2025!

So sure, more than 5 of the last 10 years we hosted no events. But that doesn’t mean this isn’t PICD’s 10-year danceaversary!
