Drive Train is BACK! Come boogie over the mainstream holidays as Ed Howe plays fiddle like a boss and Bennett Konesni plays guitar and tickles us with his occasional singing.
These are two cool people. Ed was half of Perpetual e-Motion and is now inventing bands, collaborating and improvising like a boss. Bennett is a steward of traditional music and worksongs. If we're really lucky, he'll lead us in some social singing.
Sound of Perfection will be providing sound this evening. It'll be good!
Here's Ed improvising as half of Barefoot:
And here's Bennett playing and singing a traditional song as half of Edith & Bennett:
Will Mentor will be our caller for the evening. If you don't know this nationally acclaimed caller from his warm, clear teaching, or wit, you likely know his glasses. We're thrilled he's coming to delight us this evening.
Join us from 10 p.m. 'til close for snacks and drinks just down the street at Local 188 (just West of Longfellow Square). They've created a new tapas menu just for us, and will offer PICD dancers a discount on drinks and grub. Sweet, ain't they? All ages welcome!
DIRECTIONS AND PARKING:
Directions may be found on the State Street Church website.
